　　How to Balance Academic Study andExtracurricular Activities

　　Recently, the debate on how to balance academic study and extracurricular activities has

aroused more and more people's concern. According to a survey in 1500 college students,

approximately two thirds of them admit that academic study is too boring for them and they

would like to spend most of their time on extracurricular activities.

　　It is true that extracurricular activities are very beneficial to college example,

these activities can broaden your horizons and enrich your life experience. At the same time,

they expose you to people with different backgrounds and improve your ability to communicate

with others. However, the significance of academic study can never be ignored. If college

students do not focus on study, they will not enjoy a fulfilling college career as well as a

promising future. Similarly, without study, a boss or entrepreneur will not lead his business to

prosperity. To take a step further, our nation will not thrive in the international community if we

fail to place great value on study.

　　Therefore, we must take a proper and rational attitude to academic studyand

extracurricular activities. Meanwhile, the mainstream media and educational institutions should

launch more campaigns or provide more lectures so that Chinese college students can have a

more comprehensive knowledge of how to balance them. I sincerely hope that every individual

can reap a huge benefit inthis process.
