How I Learned to Learn English 我是如何学会学习英语的

Last year, I did not like my English class. Every class was like a bad dream. 去

年,我不喜欢英语课。每一节课就像是一场噩梦。

The teacher spoke too quickly. But I was afraid to ask questions because my

pronunciation was very bad. 老师说话太快。但是我害怕问问题,因为我的发音非常糟

糕。

So I just hid behind my textbook and never said anything. 所以我就躲在课本后

面,从不说什么话。

Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story. 然后有一天我看了一

个名为《玩具总动员》英语电影。

I fell in love with this exciting and funny movie! 我爱上了这个令人兴奋的,有趣的

电影!

So then I began to watch other English movies as well. 然后我开始看其他的英

语电影。Although I could not understand everything the characters said, their

body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning.

虽然我无法理解电影角色所说的每一句话,但他们的肢体语言以及脸上的表情帮我了解了

台词的含义。

I also realized I could get the meaning by listening for just the key words. 我

也意识到我可以只听关键词,就可以了解台词的含义。

My pronunciation also improved by listening to the interesting conversations

in English movies. 通过听英语电影的有趣的谈话,我的发音水平也提高了。

I discovered that listening to something you are interested in is the secret to

language learning. 我发现,听一些你感兴趣的内容是学习语言的秘诀。

I also learned useful sentences like “It’s a piece of cake”or “It serves you

right.”我也学会了一些有用的习语,如“小菜一碟”或“你活该。”
