Unit 1

Some new students of Blue Sky College want to learn more about college life. They are now talking with Mrs Brown, their counsellor.

Mrs Brown: Good question. First, don't see your roommates as strangers. They'll probably become your lifelong friends. Second, respect privacy—don't use their belongings without permission. To make your college life more enjoyable, you need to make new friends to hang out and study with. To start college friendships, you can consider the following ways.

To begin with, the courses you choose may bring you some new friends. When you take classes that interest you, you may find people with similar interests. This means you have something in common. Once you get to know one another better, hopefully you will find some study partners.

Unit 3

lesson of budgeting.

to live in reasonable comfort, get a part-time job and save a little. In this way, you won't regret missing out on the best part of college by following too strict a budget.
