If you are looking forward to a world where robots will do all the dirty and dangerous work, then you may be

disappointed(失望的). Now some people are teaching them how to refuse people’s orders.

Scientists in America are trying something new like that. They are teaching robots to say “no” to some orders from people

if they “think” they will feel uncomfortable after following the orders.

The future robots will not only know when to say “no” to an order from people, but also tell why they choose to do that.

If you tell the robot to walk off the table, it will stop walking forward and say “Sorry, it is dangerous.” If you say “It’s OK. I

will catch you.”, it will move on and walk off the table.

Scientists think robots also have the right(权利)to protect(保护)themselves. They are building the smartest robots and

giving them the right to decide what to do all by themselves.
