Tour guide:Suzhou is a well-known city with a long history and rich cultur
e as well as a tourist city of national a long history of two th
ousand-odd years,Suzhou's classical gardens enjoy a unique historic position
in world gardening history.
游客:两千多年？太了不起了！也就是说苏州园林比兵马俑还要久远？
Tourist:Two thousand years ago? Wow,amazing!So they are earlier than t
he terracotta warriors.
导游：是的。苏州古典园林的历史可上溯至公元前6世纪春秋时吴王的园囿，私家园
林最早见于记载的是东晋的辟疆园，历代造园兴盛。
Tour guide:That's earliest gardens of Suzhou,which belonged to
the king of Wu,can be traced far back to the Spring and Autumn Period in the
6th century BC. The pijiang Garden was the earliest recorded private garden
dating from the Eastern Jin Dynasty in the 4th century.
游客：咱们要去参观的这个拙政园是什么时候建的呢？也是两千多年前吗？
Tourist: When was this Zhuozhengyuan Garden we are heading for built?

导游：没有那么久。拙政园是典型的苏州古典园林，产生于明清私家园林发展的鼎盛
时期。它意境深远、构筑精致、文化高雅、文化内涵丰富，是苏州众多古典园林的典范和
代表。
Tour guide:Not that long engyuan,or the Humble Administrat
or's Garden was built during the Ming and Qing dynasties when private garde
ns were most flourishing. It's one of the finest specimens of classical gardens
of Suzhou,which are noted for their profound artistic conception,elegant layo
ut,refined gracefulness and literary connotations.
游客：明白了。就是说现在保存尚好的苏州园林大部分是建于明清年代的。
Tourist: I most gardens well-preserved in Suzhou today were built
in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
