What’s the hightest mountain in the world说课稿

一、教学目标

1.了解珠穆朗玛峰的高度和地理位置；

四、教学过程

1.导入活动

初步了解学生对珠穆朗玛峰有何了解，引出话题。

T: Do you know what’s the highest mountain in the world?

S: Mt. Everest.

T: Very good. How high is Mt. Everest?

S: I don’t know.

T: Let’s learn more about it together.

2.学习活动

(1)在多媒体的帮助下，让学生了解珠穆朗玛峰的高度和地理位置，并学习相关词汇和句型。

T: Look at the screen. This is a picture of Mt. Everest. As we know, it is the highest mountain

in the world. Do you know how high it is?

S: No.

T: It is 8,848 meters tall. And it is located on the border between Nepal and Tibet. You can

say “Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world. It is 8,848 meters tall. It is located on

the border between Nepal and Tibet.”

(2)让学生自主探究珠穆朗玛峰的自然特点，学习相关词汇和句型。

T: What’s the climate like on Mt. Everest? What animals and plants live on this mountain?

S: ...

T: Now, let’s watch a short video to learn more about it.

(3)针对所学知识进行综合运用，提高英语应用能力。

T: Imagine you are going to climb Mt. Everest. Please write a plan of your journey there using

the words and sentences we have learned today.

五、作业布置

请学生根据今天所学内容，介绍珠穆朗玛峰，并复述自己写的旅行计划。
